Privacy
The short version: we count visits so we can make the site better. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we are
This site is run by Cooked Games, the studio making Habet. We're responsible for the information described here.
What we collect
We use PostHog, an analytics service, to see how the site is used. That covers:
- the pages you visit and the site or link that brought you here
- what you click, how far you scroll, and whether you watch the trailer
- your browser, device type and approximate location (country and city)
- how quickly the page loads, and any errors
We don't collect your name or email, and we don't keep your IP address. The site has no forms or accounts.
Cookies
We only use analytics cookies if you accept them.
- If you accept, PostHog stores a random ID in your browser for up to a year. This lets us see when someone returns, and lets us replay visits (clicks and scrolling) to spot parts of the page that don't work well.
- If you decline, or haven't chosen, nothing is stored in your browser. We still count the visit anonymously, and can't recognise you on a later day.
We keep a small note of your answer so we don't ask again.
Why we use it
To understand which parts of the site are useful and which marketing brings people here, so we can improve both. We use cookies only with your consent. Anonymous counting is in our legitimate interest in running the site, and it has minimal impact on you.
Who else is involved
- PostHog processes the analytics for us and stores it in the EU.
- Cloudflare hosts the site.
- YouTube: the trailer loads from YouTube only when you press play. From then on, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
- Steam: links to our Steam page carry tags showing which link you used. Steam shares these with us only as totals.
How long we keep it
Visit recordings are deleted automatically after three months. Other analytics data is kept while it helps us improve the site, and we'll delete yours on request.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or change your cookie choice at any time (below). If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
